Ann Sisel is a contemporary intuitive painter. When she begins she rarely knows what she is planning to paint. Her goal is to create artwork that is unique, gutsy, and colorful. She loves making brush strokes, marks from tools, and splatters. She often uses a stick or her fingers, or a palette knife instead of a paint brush. Making art for her is a balancing act much as it is in real life.
Wayne Sisel is a retired architect who learned watercolor in architecture school for project presentations in the 60’s, so he naturally returned to realistic subjects like buildings and cityscapes. His travels, both near & far often provide inspiration for paintings. He loves plein air painting.
This exhibit will be up on the Art Wall in the Community Program Room of the Ramsey County Library in Shoreview until December 15. It is not available to the general public during room bookings and will vary by day.
