Jake Grussing has been selected as the Director of Ramsey County Library. Grussing will be responsible for overseeing 99 full-time employees working across seven locations and a $12 million annual operating budget.
Grussing currently serves as Director of Scott County Library where he has worked since 2013. Prior to this, he worked in multiple positions of increasing responsibility over three years at Great River Regional Library in St. Cloud ultimately becoming the Associate Director.
"Jake’s strong leadership skills, forward-looking vision for libraries and motivation to reflect the community’s vision will be a tremendous asset to the Ramsey County Library system," said Steve Woods, chair of the Ramsey County Library Board. "The Library Board is excited to welcome him aboard."
Ramsey County Library circulated nearly two million items in 2020. Grussing will work out of the administrative offices at the Shoreview location beginning Monday, March 14.

Grussing lives in Saint Paul with his spouse, children and dog. He earned a Master of Arts in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Minnesota, Morris.
