Ramsey County Library Director Jill Boldenow has accepted the position of Vice President of Administration at Normandale Community College. She takes on her new role January 6, 2021.
Since joining Ramsey County as library director in 2016, Boldenow led the development of the 2019-2029 Facilities Master Plan, the launch of a new digital library at rclreads.org, and the introduction of the Popup Library and expanded community engagement initiatives. She led policy changes to remove barriers to library access, including the elimination of overdue fees for library materials. She and her team’s swift response to the COVID-19 pandemic helped continue library offerings through modified services that are keeping both staff and patrons safe.
“I have had such a rewarding experience working with the staff, Board, Friends, and community at Ramsey County Library. I am proud of what we have accomplished and I will greatly miss everyone, but I know this terrific system will continue to thrive,” said Boldenow.
Ramsey County Library offers our sincerest thanks to Jill for her service and contributions to our libraries, residents and to Ramsey County. The Library Board named Karen Saltis, current Ramsey County Health & Wellness Director of Administration, as the interim Library Director while they create a robust plan to find a replacement.
