Planning for an interior renovation of the public spaces at the library in Maplewood is underway. The interior renovation project will provide a refreshed facility with a new layout and will best support the community of Maplewood for many years to come.
Built in 2007, the finishes as well as the furniture in the library all have since been outdated. Changes to the interior of the building are based on community engagement and feedback that began in 2018. The design phase of the project was drafted with feedback from the community in March 2022. Planned features include improved acoustics, increase the number of study and meeting spaces, improve lighting and provide more comfortable seating.
Project design will continue through the first quarter 2023 with construction starting later in the year. Check the online calendar for upcoming community engagement events or subscribe to the Library's e-newsletter.
